"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined" - Henry Thoreau.
Wez Saunders Lives Music. So much so, that he did what not many others would do and gave up a secure job to do something that he loves. Driven by success and the tragic and untimely Death of his soul-mate & younger Brother to Leukaemia in June 2008, Wez Saunders has re-found inspiration - in Music.
A true lover of all things House Music, Endemic Digital & Unrivaled Music boss Wez Saunders has consistently moved through music technology with the times, and tried with moderate success under several alias’ - and finally found who he is musically - himself.
Wez Saunders is a DJ, producer, remixer, Label Manager and Booking Agent who has had 16+ years of moderate success with previous alias' Humungo 242 (remixing for Pink, Uncle 22, DJ Trust), Samian Pourne and more recently The Hat, from Kita & The Hat (The Gallery, Twilo, Ministry of Sound, Pacha).
He originally shared belt-drive decks from the age of 14 with his 11 year old bro, spent the 90's progressing through the musical journey of Old Skool, Hardcore, Jungle, Drum n Bass, Dance, House, Speed Garage and Trance .... finally settled into the Progressive House scene with a pair of Technics 1200's, spending a small mortgage on records, trying to make it as a Prog DJ. This expanded into Deep House & Tech House, and now Wez Saunders likes to call himself a "House DJ" because he can play the first or last set of the night, and be sure not to disappoint.
Nowadays, accompanied with his Macbook Pro, Ableton Live or Traktor Scratch Pro, a VCM 100, Traktor X1 Controller and 40 CD's, this ever-so-friendly guy is always ready to provide the right grooves to his audience, whatever the hour.
As a DJ, Wez Saunders, under various alias’ has played for, or been booked to play for The Gallery, Wonderland, Twilo, Electronic Sessions, London Rocks, Entwinement, Twisted Energy, Festas de Praia, DV.FM, Insomnia FM, Sideways Radio Show, Electronic Groove, The Clubland Guide (Scotland - with National Newspaper coverage), Proton Radio, plus more at venues such as the Ministry of Sound (London), Pacha (London), Road Trip (London), The Bomb (Nottingham), Zoo Project (Ibiza), Linekers Bar (Ibiza), Linekers Boat Party (Ibiza), Space (Ibiza), Cafe Mambo (Ibiza), Bar M (Ibiza), and Dreamzone (Azores, Portugal).
In 2010 alone, Wez Saunders under various alias’ has played alongside, been booked to play alongside or at events with the following DJ’s (just a sample of DJ’s, in alphabetical order) - 16 Bit Lolitas, Alex Kenji, Ali Wilson, Hernan Cattaneo, James Talk, Jon O’Bir, Marcus Schulz, Mark “Toolroom” Knights, Nic Fanciulli, Nicka, Nicole Moudaber, Paolo Mojo, Ridney, Sergei Shkuroff, Steve Richards, The Viceroy, Timo Garcia and more.
On his Endemic Digital Sessions radio show, (running since August 2010) hosted & produced by Wez Saunders on Twisted Energy, he has booked guests on the show including Colin Dale, The Scumfrog, Chris Fortier, Lenny Fontana, Gavyn Mytchel, Sasha Le Monnier, Joelle Atkins, Dzeta N Basile, Jose Nunez, Ryan Luciano, Trafik and more.

And finally as a Booking Agent, Wez Saunders will be representing Lenny Fontana & The Scumfrog in the UK in 2011, as well as operating as a booking agency for artists under his label rosters.
Wez's plans do not stop there! "I've been working on the 2010 strategy since August (2010)" he says with a grin. "I'm quite excited actually at some of the discussions I am having at the moment. I don't want to say too much as I've been burned before by getting carried away too soon, but one thing I can say is that I am working with Dan Oliver & Kube 72 who also had a hit on a Carl Cox album this Summer (on Space Revolutions) about creating two offshoot labels - one Techno, and one Nu-Disco. The target audience and markets are completely different to those of Endemic Digital & Unrivaled Music so it will be an interesting side project but something that would complete my musical spectrum (as a Label Owner & DJ). But first and foremost my priority remains to deliver the type of quality on Endemic (Digital) and Unrivaled (Music) that our 'fans' are used to." |
