Universal Vibes presents Kitch-en gallery live art jam:
Established in 2005 in the North East of England, Kitch-en is a Contemporary Urban Gallery specialising in selling limited edition prints, original works and vinyl toys by some of the best up and coming artists in the UK.The collaboration with Universal Vibes on Sunday 18th July will enable kitch-en gallery to showcase some of their most talented artists via an all day live art ‘battle’.
Kitch-en Gallery will bring together artists from the North and South and present a live art showdown from 1pm – 7pm. The artists will work on large wooden boards using POSCA paint markers and acrylic paints.
Primarily based online (www.kitch-engallery.co.uk), Kitch-en Gallery understands that an online presence can’t create the excitement of a physical gallery space and live artwork so they continually tour the UK and beyond with exhibitions and events to showcase their range of artists.
Kitch-en Gallery understands the need to mix art with other elements of contemporary urban culture and the need to move away from traditional gallery spaces. So we've teamed up to provide an eclectic funk laden sunshine music soundtrack to the live art pieces that will take shape and form thoughout the day...
DJ support comes from residents universal vibes' paddy freeform and the Itchysoul djs (birthday boy matt young and alex k) whose new ///shift record label has been picking up some big props, they will be special guests from Kitch-en Gallery Affilates, the Ghetto Method Collective..(Mudfoot Blapps and Notorious D.A.V.E)
So join us on the huge terrace as the sun shines, the music plays, the art takes shape and form and the barbeque sizzles...sounds good?

Returning after a few months off, Tactile is relaunching at the Horse & Groom with a very special lineup guaranteed to banish those January blues. Headlining our January party is Ikonika. With critically aclaimed releases on Hyperdub and Planet Mu, and a wicked remix of Township Funk on Warp, she’s one of the freshest and most distinctive production talents around – just check her latest 12” Sahara Michael / Fish on Hyperdub. Luckily for us she’s also a seriously good DJ – expect a tightly mixed selection of dubstep, garage, funky and more…We’re really looking forward to her playing in the intimate surroundings of The Horse & Groom.
Also joining us is Chris Box from Run Sounds. Run celebrated their 5th anniversary in November and are firmly established as one of the best house and techno nights in London. Having brought DJs like Andy Vaz, Patrice Scott, Dan Bell and Keith Worthy to play in London, Chris is a man who knows his music and we’re looking forward to hearing his dark, stripped back take on house and techno.
Support will come from Tactile regular and Universal Vibes boss Paddy Freeform, who’ll be spinning a deep and diverse selection of house, techno and disco. Finally, residents Tomas and Mirror Mirror will keep things moving with the best in house, funky and dubstep. Visual delights will be provided by our man Sharp Sharp.

Man Make Music DJs:
universal vibes presents:SOUNDS GOOD
Universal Vibes returns to the Lockside Lounge, our favourite Camden haunt for another freestyle excursion of eclectic beats and treats, sounds good?
For this event we are teaming up with East London party starters, Man Make Music who stormed it at one of our previous events....
Since late 2006 Man Make Music have cultivated their name as one the hottest up-and-coming party promo brands in London. After a series of road blocked events in London's East End (from Unit 7 to Corsica Studios), legendary illegal warehouse raves in Hackney Wick and the unique daytime Block Party in the middle of Shoreditch, it wasn't long before promoters from London's most stablished haunts were taking serious note of MMM's electric broad-spectrumed bass parties.
As DJs themselves, the MMM lads (Sketchy, Another Amit & Noel Mas) have previously supported acts like RPR Soundsystem, Clive Henry, and Sebo K to name a few - blending together bouncy techno with chunkier, wobblier 4/4 music to great effect. As promoters they've booked such notables as Mala (Digital Mystikz), Plastician, Nathan Fake, Justin Martin, Petter, MJ Cole and Radioclit to play in some of the most unique party spaces in London.
MMM has always kept an open mind when it comes to musical programming and feel proud to have showcased the best from a broad spectrum of bass heavy dance music genres, delivering quality, cutting-edge bookings that crowds go mad for.
also lining up for this are TACTiLE residents, Tomas and IKO. their TACTiLE parties in East London basements and South London boozers push a distinctive blend of the best elements of house, techno, dubstep and UK funky and have featured guests such as Cooly G, Panagea, Ben UFO and the Vangelis
and of course no universal vibes event would be complete without head honcho paddy freeform taking the controls, frequently described as one of 'London's hardest working DJs' His Universal Vibes compilation has been released to critical acclaim, awarded Compilation of the Month in DJ mag, label of the month in April's IDJ and picking up serious props across the board. Paddy has been tipped as 'one to watch' in 2009....

Universal Vibes at Vibe bar
Deep freestyle music label and internet radio site, Universal Vibes comes to the Vibe bar on 10th October.
Currently riding a wave of critical acclaim after the release of the label compilation 'This Is What the Universe Sounds Like' (Compilation of the month DJ mag, 9/10 essential release IDJ), the label is firing on all cylinders at the moment, with a couple of new releases lined up before the end of the year and the follow up label compilation due in early 2010...expect to hear some upfront previews alongside a few classics....
This night is also a bit of a special, as its both Universal Vibes label head and resident Paddy Freeform's and guest DJ PBS' birthday, so we'll be celebrating in style...
Birthday boys paddy and PBS will be joined by the Futureboogie DJs...Those who came to Croatia w will be well versed as we bounced around to them on the beach many an evening. Those who aren’t, well expect a heady mix of disco, house, funk, soul…you name it. It’s all about providing a sound track to a good party.
Hailing from West Country, with it’s beginnings six years ago in Bristol as the club night ‘Seen’, the Futureboogie DJs and parties have become highly regarded in their home town, across the UK, and beyond.
The cast of DJs may have changed over the years, but the hallmarks of no boundaries quality music and a good party have survived, and are now in the capable hands of Joe90, El Harvo, and Kid Bongo.
Futureboogie now houses a club promotions in both Bristol and London, a worldwide respected website, a booking agency, and a radio show on Kiss 101.
The Futureboogie name has seen the boys travel far and wide with gigs at The Big Chill Festival, Bestival, Glastonbury Festival, Bloom Festival, The Garden Festival, Shambala Festival and many clubs over the world.

TACTiLE loves house, techno, dubstep, funky, disco and more...
At TACTiLE we aim to push the sounds we love - future-thinking, dancefloor-orientated music - in intimate, no-nonsense venues. We also love friendly crowds, visuals, low door prices and parties that go on all night. If you love these too, come and be a part of it.
*MOVING TO 512 ON 7th MARCH*
For our debut Dalston party at Bar 512, we're absolutely thrilled to welcome one of the most exciting artists involved in dubstep today: Pangaea. Co-owner of Hessle Audio, one of the most forward-thinking labels around, Pangaea has made a huge impact as a producer, with the haunting 'Router' our standout dubstep track of last year. Regularly playing UK dubstep institutions FWD and Sub Dub, he also has a burgeoning reputation as a true pioneer behind the decks, a notion backed up by Mary Anne Hobbs who described his recent mix for BBC Radio 1 as ‘texturally one of the most exquisite mixes of the year… breathtakingly beautiful in every way’.
We're also very pleased to welcome back Phonica's Vangelis, who along with the TACTiLE residents Paddy Freeform, Pete, Tomas and iko will keep the party going in style until 6am. Expect the best in house and techno: deep, dubby, funky and everything in between… plus visuals from SharpSharp.

Universal Vibes returns to the Lockside Lounge, our favourite Camden haunt for another freestyle excursion of eclectic beats and treats, sounds good?
with special guest dj,all the way for nottingham via the worldwide awards, Red Rack 'em....
Nottingham DJ Danny Berman aka Red Rack'em is well known for his illicit hip hop and disco edits which have been well supported by the Unabombers, Nextmen, Carl Craig and Prins Thomas. He is also a respected radio broadcaster and his fortnightly Smugglers Inn podcasts (available at http://www.redrackem.com) are eagerly downloaded by leftfield beat heads from across the globe. His recent wonky disco/boogie/Detroit house output as Hot Coins has firmly eclipsed those heady edit days, with EPs on Tirk, Untracked and Society showcasing his production skills and receiving massive support on the disco and house scene. Gilles Peterson has been his biggest supporter, hammering not just Hot Coins tracks on Radio 1 (including his massively hyped remix of Joubert Singers 'Stand On The Word') but also previewing the exciting Marlinspike Detroit 2 step project on his Worldwide radio show. Gilles has described Danny as 'not being able to put a foot wrong right now' and recently commissioned a Red Rack'em guestmix for the Worldwide International show (which you can check here - http://www.giantstep.net/releases/2242 ) and also invited Danny to play at the 2009 Worldwide Awards where he played alongside Jazzanova and Laurent Garnier.
2009 promises to be a big year for Danny with the Hot Coins album on Tirk and plenty more singles ready to go across many genres. Expect to hear the finest hip-hop, disco, cosmic, elctro, punk funk, proper house, broken beat, jazz, funk and wonky beats.

After two storming summer parties we're coming back to Camden's Lockside Lounge for another freestyle session of deep, soulful and eclectic grooves. Sounds good?
This month we called back in the Ithcysoul DJs who rocked the place when we did our Lake Of Stars party back in July. itchysoul have been around for 4 years putting on some superb disco parties across London in venues such as East Village, Sosho, Horse & Groom and many more. Their unique blend of old disco favourite mixed into nu disco and disco re edits provide a great sound track to party until the early hours, these guys will get you dancing!
they will be joined by long time universal vibes collaborator, Matty f, who was a felllow resident at our infamous sessions at the player in soho which ran until the end of last year.

Universal Vibes is back on the second saturday of the month at The Prince, one of the leading lights in the thriving current Brixton nightlife scene.
This month we are teaming up with out friends at tactile to bring a techier, housier flavour to the Prince's Funktion 1 fuelled DancelfoorTACTiLE is a new night playing house and techno. Everything from minimal to deep to Detroit to dub. We also play dubstep and disco. We are holding our first party in conjunction with UNIVERSAL VIBES at The Prince in Brixton. We don't like overblown entrance fees, overpriced drinks and hassle when we go out. We think that going out should be about having fun and hearing great music. That's why we offer quality DJs over a good system in a relaxed venue, all night long.
On our first night we are bringing you Phonica's *Vangelis*, Universal Vibes' manager *Paddy Freeform* and Resident Advisor's *Ronan Fitzgerald*. Support will come from the TACTiLE residents, Pete, Iko and Tomas. We also like visuals, so *Sharp Sharp* will bring his projections to the party.
*Universal Vibes* is a label and online radio station with constantly updated content from Freerange, Compost, Buzzin’ Fly, Fabric and many more. The label is currently in full flow, with a string of highly acclaimed single releases and a label compilation planned for early 2009.
